"Home Sweet Home: Industrialization's Impact on Rural Households, 1865-1925."
Using historical photographs and general store account books, this work examined changes in both consumer behavior patterns and domestic life brought on by the introduction of mass-produced goods into farm households in the Upper South after the Civil War.
